OUR PASTOR

 

Elder Jamlain Johnson is the Pastor of Mt Nebo Free Will Baptist Church, located in Lemon Springs (Sanford), NC. His ministry has spanned over 20 years since God miraculously anointed him to preach the gospel. He’s a much sought-after anointed musician, cogent teacher and preacher, well-known for his candid, straight forward delivery of the word. Elder Johnson embraces his purpose for life as one that is to empower others, especially young people, for success and achievement; encouraging a new generation of leaders to emerge through a strong belief in God and a heart for His will and faith to persevere through life’s challenges to manifest the Kingdom of God.

 

The anointing upon his life truly depicts his compassion for preparing this generation for Kingdom Living and a
transformation of lives through the power of the Holy Spirit to become conquerors - is his triumph. Believing in the scripture as it says to “Seek the Lord while He may be found” {Isaiah 55:6}. Elder Johnson has comforted the cries of those burdened by the circumstances of their environment and economic conditions. He bridges their problems with immediate solutions by his love of God and by the compassion of his commitment. 

 

Elder Johnson believes the church is without walls. He has ministered to many in various healthcare facilities, mental institutions, and prisons; going into impoverished communities ministering to those whose lives have been altered due to drugs, alcohol, domestic violence, hopelessness and despair; volunteered at several outreach organizations assisting with providing housing, food, clothing accommodations and spiritual guidance, taking the necessary steps to help individuals completely transform their lives through Christ.

Elder Johnson has earned a Masters Degree in Biblical Studies as well as several Christian certifications through continuing education. His ministry has also been recognized by several Christian denominations and community associations through certificates and awards. The mandate and assignment of this servant of God is to preach, teach, speak prophetically, and to release God’s miracle healing power upon His people as well as train men and women that it is God’s desire for them to live enriched and healthy lives through his Word. {Mark 16:17-18}
 

Elder Jamlain Johnson is married to the lovely

Minister Linda Johnson, his best friend. She is the First Lady at Mt. Nebo FWBC where she stands beside her husband, faithfully serving God and working in ministry. She has a tremendous passion for God’s Word, coupled with a love for God’s people.

Our Pastor's sermons are centered around Christ, often ending with a short story to always increase our faith. He often asks us to repeat his faith building phrase of power "God's got it and I need it and by faith I got it"!
